Yoga for good grant supports first responders and their families

Fortem Australia will be able to deliver more sound yoga sessions for first responders and their families thanks to the generous support of the Yoga for Good Foundation.

Siddhi Shakti of Soul Light Energetic Healing has been working with Fortem to deliver virtual sound yoga, breath, meditation and mantra sessions for first responders and their families since 2024.

With the support of a grant from Yoga for Good, the current program will be expanded to include live in-person sound yoga sessions at various locations in New South Wales, as well as create a range of accessible guided videos and audio files to be made available to first responders and their families through a website an app.

Since sound yoga was introduced at Fortem, it has provided an opportunity for first responders and their families to come together virtually and participate in this active, restoring and mindful practice while also hearing about the tailored support options Fortem provides for mental health and wellbeing.

Siddhi collaborates with various organisations across Australia to integrate sound yoga into mental health and wellness programs to support injured workers, veterans, first responders, and their families, offering them a transformative tool for healing and resilience.

Fortem and Siddhi extend their thanks and appreciation to the Yoga for Good Foundation for its support of this important social connection activity.

First responders and their families can register to participate in sound yoga via the Fortem wellbeing calendar.
