The inaugural Teddy Bears’ Picnic in the gardens of Perth’s Government House proved to be a wonderful community celebration, with Fortem Australia honoured to take part alongside families from Legacy WA, WA Police Legacy, and the Australian Defence Force.
More than 250 families joined the event on Sunday, enjoying an afternoon filled with children’s games, ice creams, family activities, delicious snacks, life-sized teddies, and plenty of meaningful conversations. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and welcoming, a true reflection of the community spirit the event set out to foster.
A notable highlight of the day was when Fortem’s Regional Director Lara Chambers had the opportunity to speak with His Excellency The Honourable Christopher John Dawson AC APM. Their discussion centred on Fortem’s mission and the impactful work taking place through the Fortem Wellbeing Hub.
The Teddy Bears’ Picnic was a heart-warming celebration of family, connection, and support. Fortem was proud to contribute to such a memorable inaugural event and looks forward to future opportunities to engage with the community.
