Adelaide community rallies behind first responder wellbeing

The Port Adelaide 100 Social Club is showing the power of community spirit, launching its 2025 Western 100 Club Christmas Raffle to raise much-needed funds for Fortem Australia.

With tickets starting from just $3, the raffle offers two generous prizes donated by the Playford Hotel: an overnight stay in its New York–style Loft Suite valued at $450, and a cocktail party for up to 10 people valued at $299.

While the prizes add festive excitement, it’s the purpose behind the raffle that truly shines. All proceeds will support Fortem Australia to provide psychological and counselling, social connection, career management and mental health literacy programs and services for first responders and their families.

Raffle organisers said the idea came from a desire to give back. ‘we’ve been so impressed by the programs Fortem provides for first responders and their families, and we wanted to support their cause and help spread the word even further.’

The Western 100 Club is a social club for current, past and retired members of the Patrol Area covering the Western Suburbs. We hold social events to encourage community and social connection throughout the year.

Initiatives like this highlight how powerful grassroots fundraising can be. Whether big or small, every contribution helps Fortem continue delivering essential programs for the people who protect and care for our communities.

Raffle tickets can be purchased online via 2025 Western 100 Club Christmas Raffle so jump online now to secure your chance to win and support a great cause helping Fortem continue its important work with first responders and their families.

Winners will be contacted on 22 December, with results also shared via email.
