P3 Recovery joins Thank a First Responder Day 2026 celebrations across Australia

Today is Day 5 of Fortem Australia’s 10 Days of Gratitude, recognising the important role animals play in first responder agencies.
From police dogs and mounted units to search and rescue animals, these trusted companions support their handlers in a wide range of operational environments.
Their skills, loyalty and calm presence make an enormous difference to first responder teams and the communities they serve.
These animals often form strong bonds with their handlers and play a vital role in operations, community engagement and emergency response efforts across the country.
Today we thank the four-legged members of the first responder family, as well as the handlers who work alongside them.
