Fortem Australia is proud to partner with P3 Recovery for Thank a First Responder Day 2026, with P3 Recovery centres across Australia opening their doors to first responders and their families for complimentary recovery experiences designed to support wellbeing, recovery and connection.
On Wednesday, 10 June 2026, eligible first responders and family members will be invited to access a range of recovery services, including magnesium contrast pools, infrared saunas and compression recovery experiences. The initiative recognises the physical and mental demands placed on frontline personnel who dedicate themselves to protecting and supporting communities every day.
P3 Recovery CEO, Paul Goldfinch, said Thank a First Responder Day provides an important opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Australia’s first responders.
‘On Thank a First Responder Day, we recognise and thank the people who put themselves on the line every day to keep our communities safe. Your service, commitment and sacrifice do not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.’
The national initiative builds on the growing partnership between Fortem Australia and P3 Recovery, with centres around the country already supporting first responder wellbeing through recovery experiences, community engagement activities and local Fortem programs.
Fortem Australia CEO Mick Willing APM welcomed P3 Recovery’s continued commitment to the first responder community.
‘First responders regularly face physically demanding and psychologically challenging situations in service to others. Having organisations like P3 Recovery step forward to support their wellbeing sends a powerful message of gratitude and recognition,’Mr Willing said.
‘Recovery is an important part of maintaining wellbeing, and we’re grateful to P3 Recovery for creating opportunities for first responders and their families to take time to recharge and prioritise their health.’
Thank a First Responder Day is a national day of recognition led by Fortem Australia, encouraging Australians to pause and thank the people who step forward during emergencies, disasters and times of crisis. From firefighters, paramedics and police officers to emergency services personnel, healthcare workers and defence members, the day shines a light on the people who keep communities safe.
