First responders and their families face enormous challenges. Our clinical services exist to support you through these.

Sessions are private, independent, and free for first responders who work or volunteer with one of the organisations listed on our Who We Serve page, and for their immediate family members. Family members are welcome to access support without the first responder.

All Fortem psychologists are highly experienced in the challenges and traumas faced by first responders and their families. The impacts of these can be subtle or obvious, and arise for everyone in different ways, at different times.

If you’re not sure about calling, or whether this is the right support for you, our Care Coordinators will work with you to refer you to the service best suited to your goals. Fortem also offers Telehealth (phone or video calls) if you are unable to attend sessions in-person.

To speak with our Care Coordination team, phone 1300 339 594, or email psychology@fortemaustralia.org.au.

This is not a crisis support service or a helpline. If you need urgent help, please call 000 or contact Beyond Blue on 1300 22 46 36.
