Looking for a way to relax, a chance to learn a new skill, or an opportunity to meet others. Come and get muddy, be creative and learn all the basics working with clay. Learn about different types of clay and a range of techniques. Whether you’re interested in hand-building, wheel throwing or understanding the magic of firing and glazing, this is the best way to start! Each 2 hour class will involve a new technique or skill to create a simple project. If you attend more than one session, you can return to the skills you enjoy or explore your own ideas.
This free wellbeing activity is for ACT Corrections Services families (check out who we serve here). Register yourself, and one other adult (your partner, children, family members, or someone from your inner circle). Encourage a colleague to register too, or make connections on the day.
All Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing — a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to our overall mental fitness. This model by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based on widely researched, effective strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of all Fortem Australia events, programs, and activities.
