Journal

Nature journal can be used interchangeably with terms like field notes, nature diary, log book. These journals have proven to be vital for both professional and personal spheres of life. Notable people in history who kept journals were Beatrix Potter, Leonardo da Vinci, Lewis Caroll, Marie Curie, Ludwig van Beethoven & Thomas Edison. A modern-day nature journal is similar and has nature as its main subject.

In these classes you will learn techniques and strategies for everyday and eventful moments by using simple things from you nature or your home eg. pantry veggies/fruit, pot plants, supermarket bouquets, weeds, sea shells, feathers. Please note: this activity runs from 6.00-7.30pm AEDT each class.

This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out who we serve here). Register yourself, and up to one other adult or teenager aged 16 and over (your partner, family member, or someone from your inner circle). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too, or make connections on the day.

All Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing — a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to our overall mental fitness. This model by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based on widely researched, effective strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of all Fortem Australia events, programs, and activities.

Please register your interest in attending this activity by clicking on the Registration Form button below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
