Code of Conduct


When participating in Fortem’s programs, activities and events participants, their partners, and families must:

  1. Not promote or engage in physical abuse, verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, harassment, coercion and/or other conduct, which threatens or endangers the health or safety of any person. If you engage in behaviour that is considered aggressive, then your actions may result in a suspension (of varying length) or permanent expulsion.
  2. Comply with the directions of Fortem Australia staff acting in the performance of their duties.
  3. Not engage in disorderly or lewd conduct. Such conduct may include behaviour associated with misuse of alcohol or controlled substances.
  4. Refrain from using profane, insulting, harassing or otherwise offensive language in the context of the activities and/or events. Respect an individuals’ dignity; verbal or physical behaviours that constitute harassment or abuse are unacceptable.
  5. Participate in and co-operate with all activities and/or event stakeholders in a courteous and respectful manner.
  6. Treat all participants as you expect and like to be treated.
  7. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants. Do not discriminate or denigrate participants on the basis of their gender, any disability, age, sexual
    preferences, racial and cultural background or religious convictions.
  8. Not act in a way that will bring Fortem Australia into disrepute whilst at external venues.

In the event that you, your partner or family do not comply with the Code of Conduct, Fortem reserves the right to, at its complete discretion:

  • cancel your registration for a Fortem program, event and / or activity;
  • ask that you immediately leave a program, activity or event;
  • suspend your participation in Fortem programs, events and / or activities;
    and / or,
  • bar you from all Fortem programs, events and / or activities.

If you, your family or partner witness or experience any breaches of the above Code of Conduct, we encourage you to report this behaviour to Fortem staff or management.
