Mark Armstrong CSC

Mark Armstrong, CSC assumed the role of Chief Officer, Queensland SES, on 03 June 2024. Previously, as an Australian Army Brigadier, he commanded the Queensland component of the Australian Defence Force support to the 2022 South-East Queensland floods in 2022 and Operation COVID-19 Assist. In his corporate career Mr Armstrong has worked in senior strategy, supply chain and HR roles in companies such as Coca-Cola Amatil and Symbion. Mr Armstrong holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration, Arts (Strategy and Management), Human Resource Management and International Security Studies. He is currently in the final stages of completing a PhD examining the contribution and reform of a part-time workforce.
