The demanding nature of first responder work can often cause disruptions to the sleep cycle. Having the ability to wind down and prepare for bed is an important skill to harness.

Sleep poses a persistent sticking point for first responders. Having to balance shiftwork, busy work-life, what you have dealt with during the day and racing minds before bed can often cause disturbances to your quality of sleep.

Having the ability to wind down and prepare for bed is an important skill to harness, as it allows you to slow down, relax, “switch off” and improve sleep quality.
