Firefighter takes on the Blue Mountains for mental health
Fortem Australia is proud to be partnering with the Australian Bibliotherapy Foundation to deliver 15 community libraries to the NSW Police Force Child Abuse Squad.
A library has also been installed at Fortem’s Wellbeing Hub in Western Australia, providing a range of books for the first responders and their families who visit the Hub.
The Australian Bibliotherapy Foundation, also known as Brothers n Books, is a not-for-profit organisation delivering books to support mental wellbeing.
The organisation promotes, implements and advocates for the use of bibliotherapy as a pre-emptive support mechanism for strong mental wellbeing.
The 15 libraries will ensure officers from the Child Abuse Squad, whose work can be particularly confronting, can access a range of great books and other resources to assist with stress, mindfulness and relaxation.
Fortem’s Wellbeing Resource Booklet and information about our metal health and wellbeing support services will also be available in Brothers n Books libraries across the country.
