The yoga class has been designed for first responders to encourage an uplifted and calm feeling in the body and mind. This will be done at an outdoor garden where baby goats will play and engage with participants.
The focus of the class is to move mindfully with your breath, stretch the muscles, improve joint range of movement and to calm the nervous system. The experienced yoga instructor will support participants in learning yoga postures that are simple, slow and designed to flow at a pace that is easy to follow.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out who we serve). Register yourself, and up to one other adult and up to two children aged 5 and over.
All Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. Created by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, this is a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to improving our overall mental fitness.
