Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects approximately one in 10 first responders in Australia.
Many more first responders are at risk: PTSD is caused by trauma, which is reported to be experienced by more than half of all first responders.
Fortem Australia supports many first responders who are experiencing PTSD, via our clinical services, mental health literacy work, and wellbeing activities. In our aim to help more first responders and their families understand PTSD, we have developed two resources on the topic:
