If life is in danger
Beyond Blue 24/7 crisis support
Fortem Australia during business hours
First responders, come and experience the joy of stand up paddle (SUP) boarding, which is an energising way to start your day! SUP has become one of the fastest growing leisure sports in Australia. It’s relatively easy to learn and it’s a great way to experience the ocean and enjoy the great outdoors. No experience is required for this activity, however, participants who register will need to have a moderate level of fitness to participate.
This SUP session will be led by experienced and enthusiastic instructors, beginning with learning the techniques, being safe on the water, and using the equipment properly. Participants will then get to experience the joy of being out on the water amongst natural surroundings, whilst building confidence in a supportive and fun environment. Afterwards we’ll have a much deserved coffee at a nearby cafe.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out who we serve here). Register yourself, and up to one other person 17 years and over (your partner, family member, or someone from your inner circle). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too, or make connections on the day.
All Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing – a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to our overall mental fitness. This model by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based on widely researched, effective strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of all Fortem Australia events, programs, and activities.
Please register your interest in attending this activity by clicking on the Registration Form button below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
