MENTAL FITNESS

Mental fitness is about being well, and staying well. 

Just like physical fitness takes some commitment and practise, being mentally fit requires regular workouts.

Mental fitness involves protective factors and preventative methods. We encourage first responder families to connect with others, learn new things, give back, stay active, and practise mindfulness.

Fortem also builds the mental fitness of first responder families through education and advocacy that reduces stigma and normalises seeking help.
