Fortem’s next online 8-week mindfulness-based skills group starts on Wednesday 17 October 2025 at 10am. This series of structured 2-hour sessions is led by Fortem’s Clinical Team of Kim and Mel and involves guided mindfulness exercises, discussions, and cognitive exercises aimed at recognising and challenging negative thinking patterns. Participants are also encouraged to practice mindfulness techniques outside of group sessions. The program aims to enhance self-awareness, promote wellbeing, and develop more adaptive ways of responding to challenging thoughts and emotions. Handouts and audio mindfulness recordings will be provided through the online portal.

This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out who we serve). Register yourself, and up to one other adult. This is a small, closed group activity with limited places available. 

All Fortem wellbeing activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. Created by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, this is a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to improving our overall mental fitness.
